The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment. Time will need to be managed independently to coordinate with other staff members, complete plan reviews, and communicate results with Building Official. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities which demonstrate competence in the above requirements. The Work Release fee is $25.00 for every day an individual is released from the jail to go to work.
If a work release participant is more than half an hour late, he/she may be required to bring a signed letter from his/her work supervisor on letterhead stationary stating the reason for being late. The work involves administration and enforcement of adopted building and fire codes covering new construction and alternations and repair of existing buildings. Work is performed independently in office environment with use of good technical judgment and decision-making.
